Darren has a BA (HONS) in English Language and Literature and an MA (HONS) in English Studies. He completed his PGCE teaching qualification at Durham University and has the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPOH).
Prior to joining NELT he was one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI). He has extensive senior and middle leadership experience in secondary education and has a proven track record for raising standards. He is an advocate for improving life chances for students and enabling staff to teach in a climate where all students can thrive.
