Following a very successful and impressive term full of merits and achievements, Year 7 enjoyed celebrating in style at our awards assembly last week.
We welcomed some very special guests, as the students' Year 6 teachers and Head Teachers were in attendance for the celebration. We showcased the exceptional talent in Year 7, with members of the Voices group singing for us with a solo performance from Emma, and an excellent performance from Isabella on the piano. Our head boy and girl gave the year group an insight into what life will be like in the coming years and of course, we closed the assembly with an array of awards and commendations, accompanied by Eve, who delivered the all-important drum rolls!
Mrs Bulmer's Brilliant award went to Chloe for her resilience and excellent progress made in lessons; Mrs Mayhall's Year Manager award went to Lucy for her improved behaviour and progress, and the Head of Achievement award went to Olivia and Charlie for their excellent efforts both in and out of school. There were many other awards, including Pupils' Pupil, where students voted for their peer who stands out as the best role model, and prizes for those students who collected the most house points across the term. We are so proud of how well Year 7 have settled into their life at Hermitage Academy; their hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed.
