On Wednesday evening Durham University held their annual Physicist of the Year Awards where teachers nominated a Year 10 and a Year 12 student for showing dedication, commitment and passion for studying physics. We are very proud of Millie R in Year 10 and Molly R in Year 12 who both received the award for Physicist of the Year.
Molly's teachers have reported that "Molly has adapted to A level physics with great confidence and autonomy. She asks high level questions, furthering her understanding on difficult topics. She takes a lead in practical situations, directing the group on the best way to collect reliable and accurate data. She then analyses the data with assertion resulting in the application to difficult and demanding questions. I have no doubt she will go on to be a great success in her chosen career path."
Millie's teachers nominated Millie for her hard work and enthusiasm for physics. She is making huge strides towards her GCSE physics target grade and she has all the qualities of a physicist - she is inquisitive, has excellent practical skills, approaches her studies with confidence and is a logical thinker.
We are very proud of both of you; well done Millie and Molly.
