Our sixth formers marked National Epilepsy Awareness Day (Purple Day) by hosting a bake sale fundraiser. The group, alongside staff, also wore purple and sold Purple Day merchandise to support the charity.
The main hall had a lovely atmosphere and you could feel the excitement as students chose their tasty treats. One of our Year 13 students Amy G, made a fabulous purple cake which will be raffled with all proceeds being added to the bake sale money. While the official total is yet to be announced, the students did a fantastic job, and we anticipate a large sum will be split between the Epilepsy Society and SUDEP action. The charity is close to our hearts after losing one of our much-loved sixth form students Elissa Hawkins to epilepsy in November 2021.
