After studying physics at university, he began teaching in secondary schools. Then he managed a large science department before moving into senior leadership. He has worked at a senior level for over 25 years, leading and managing change. He has experience in school improvement, curriculum design and development, financial management, HR, project management and governance.
Ernie is keen to use this experience to support the newly established Local Academy Council in helping the school to further develop, improve and achieve its vision.
