James became an accredited member of the Institute of Leadership & Management and started working as a Staff Nurse before quickly gaining a promotion as a Specialist Nurse in infectious disease. At the same time, James completed a PgCert in Infectious diseases to progress in immunology which led to taking up the current position as a Nurse Practitioner in Rheumatology.
James is now working towards an MSc in Rheumatology and own's a company, assisting businesses to improve their workforce's health.
When asked about school, James said: "The Hermitage Academy always supported my career ambitions, I credit the fantastic work of two teachers in particular who helped me massively in obtaining my dreams; Mrs Filor & Mrs Angstmann who helped me prep for university, develop my knowledge in health & social care/human psychology and perfect my communication skills. But, without the support of the entire school I don’t feel I would be where I am today!"
