What is Attainment 8?
Attainment 8 (A8) measures students' average achievement across eight GCSE subjects. The higher the score, the stronger the overall GCSE performance of the year group.
With an Attainment 8 score of 50.1, our students performed well above both Durham and national averages, demonstrating strong achievement across the curriculum.
Additional Highlights
- 60 Grade 9s were awarded across the cohort.
- 70% of students achieved Grade 5 or above in English.
- 83% of students achieved Grade 4 or above in English.
- Results in Biology, Chemistry and Physics remain amongst the highest in County Durham, with over 75% of grades awarded at Grades 7-9.
