Enterprise club
After lots of thought and planning about the best way to make a profit, our Year 8 Enterprise club decided to set up a sweet shop business. For the idea to be approved, students first had to create a business pitch to obtain a loan from Mr Stewart. Luckily, the presentation was a huge success and the idea was approved. The sweet shop will start operating later this term. Well done to all students involved.
Year 9
In Year 9, students have been looking at the importance of market research for businesses. They were tasked with creating a fun and unique poncho. However, this wasn't just any poncho, it had to be created using tents left behind at music festivals. Once designed, students created a real-life version and collected market research before making improvements to their ponchos. We think it is fair to say that our students now thoroughly understand the importance of listening to customer needs.
Homework
Students were tasked with designing backpacks for homework and the results were incredible (see pictures below). Once the design was finalised, they then explained the impact it would have on business profit and reputation.
Year 12 and 13
Our Year 12 and Year 13 students have been preparing themselves for the world of business by practicing their presentation skills. Students were set topics to research before presenting to the class. The presentations so far have been very professional and interesting - well done.
