The fast-track route is a unique two-year programme for school leavers that provides all the essential qualifications, knowledge and hands-on experience needed to start working in the sports, leisure and fitness industries.

ISF is a real alternative to A-levels or apprenticeships, designed for those who want to turn their love for sport into a successful career. Endorsed by Olympic champion, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, ISF equips you with the essential, industry-recognised Level 3 and Level 2 qualifications needed to start work straight away.

What does a typical week look like?

A typical week studying the ISF programme involves studying two days per week here at Hermitage Academy Sixth Form to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in sport and physical activity, making use of our state-of-the-art facilities.

As well as enjoying practical and theoretical lessons at sixth form, a work placement between six and ten hours per week is also undertaken as well as an additional offer from ISF to gain four extra industry-standard qualifications to ensure appropriate qualifications for employment in any sports coaching organisations.
